I have always wanted to own a Remington 280... does anyone own one?... i hear its not much more then a .270 .....???

.280 , must look into that. not heard that before, ,mmm, is this a round based on the 30 06 case I wonder? like 25 06 and .270?

Been around for years....said its not much bigger then a .270......i think it also comes in pump action or lever action...

The .280 Remington is capable of developing energy nearly equal to the .30-06 Springfield, but with lighter bullets having a better ballistic coefficient. Thus, the .280 has a better trajectory and retains more energy downrange. However, the .30-06 produces more energy than the .280 with bullets heavier than 180 grains. Though, when loaded with 175 grain bullets the .284 has an extremely high sectional density of .310, compared to the 30-06 180 grain bullet with a moderately high sectional density of .271. The .280 is suitable for hunting any game in North America with good shot placement.The .280 Remington, also known as the 7 mm Express Remington

Dont know much about the 280 , But Ive heard good things about it . The only difference between the 270 and
the 280....................Is about 10 sorry but thats all I got.................cull
