I want to get everyone involved here, so you non bow hunters come on and join this topic. Now Im not going to stop the subject till I get everyones opinion. What is your faverite Broadhead and why. You non bow hunters do your research and see what you may like best if you were to bow hunt.

I have shot several different broadheads through out the years and I am stuck on slick tricks. I like the accuracy and wonderful penatration they have.

Did you say Hardheads or broadheads!...I qualify for hardhead Very Happy.... but a bow hunter im not...not that there`s anything wrong with it just never pick it up.

on our lease the landowner does allow us to bow hunt but for some reason he says that we can only use a single edge blade (what ever that means)...back to the title... i would want the most cutting power there is for a quick kill...did i get it right?...

I have only been bow hunting for two years and have only used one brand - Rage. I like the field-tip accuracy and don't want to worry about the "plane" that many fixed heads suffer from. Rage has never let me down, so I won't change. My brother-in-law, on the other hand uses Slick Tricks and Muzzy. He took his 300th deer with his bow this week, so I can't argue with him.

I also am particular with Rage in that I like the 3 blade. They are much easier to replace the individual blades than the 2 blade (a bloody finger testifies to that).

There is a new "system" out now with NAP and Easton that sounds great. It's called the "Deep Six". The arrow shaft is even smaller in diameter than the Axis series and with the NAP heads, the penetration is exceptional.

RD - A lot of landowners were turned off by mechanical broadheads because of a high failure rate when they first came out, resulting in lots of wounded deer. Although technology has fixed the mechanical failure aspect on most models, unfortunately a lot of landowners do not realize how efficient they have become.

The single edge blade suffers from accuracy due to planing, like an airplane wing. It can throw the shot off and is more likely to create a bad shot than the modern mechanicals.
