Man i am so ready for this years deer season....With the early rains we had around April we should have some good horns unlike last year when it was so dry

....We start our feed program the first weekend of Oct. thats when the landowner pens up the goats for the winter.

Can`t wait tell the first real cold front comes in sitting in the blind with some hot coffee and the good book!!

Looks like it may cool off a little bit this weekend. Highs in the low 90's Very Happy .

I'm seeing some good antlers at the place I'm hunting this year too.

I'm ready. Bow season opens Sept. 29!

I bought a 50lb bag to try, ($ 8.50 ) I was told to mix it with corn at first....my thinking, they might like it so much that it may bring more deer into the feeder...Test!.....To be continued......

Most of us on our lease run feeders all year. Hopefully we can all go to the lease next week, and plant oats. I noticed the last time we were there, how dry it had been lately.

A buddy of mine tried to plant them at my food plot (oats) once. Olny the oats came up. I heard that it's not that easy to plant peas. don't know if that's true or not. Only that mu buddy tried it on my disked up area, but nothing came up.

I've never tried mixing it w/corn. I do mix deer chow with corn. Works pretty good, but don't let the deer Chow get wet. You'll clog up your feeder.
